<p style="font-size: 13px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><span style="white-space: pre;">	</span><br />Dr. Christopher Bredeson is the head of Malignant Hematology and TCT Program Medical Director at The Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Bredeson received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa. His post-doctorate training included an internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as a residency in clinical hematology and a fellowship in the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant Program at the University of British Columbia. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology. He is a past president of CTTC, and a past president of the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy.&nbsp;Dr. Bredeson will be presenting his keynote presentation at the 2026 Annual Conference during Symposium 2 on May 1 at 8:45am.</p>

<p style="font-size: 13px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">Dr. Kirk Schultz is a Professor or Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia and BC Children’s Hospital. Dr. Schultz is a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist focused on new therapies and chronic GvHD in Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMT) and immune therapy of blood cancers with 267 peer-reviewed papers. Dr. Schultz is a past recipient of the CIHR/Wyeth Clinical Research Chair in Transplantation, past chair of the Pediatric BMT Consortium, and past President of CTTC. He is the founder of the Applied Biomarker in Late Effects (ABLE) pediatric and adult cGvHD biomarker network, and the Westhafen Intercontinental Group, the international pediatric BMT leadership group. Dr. Schultz will be presenting "Using Biomarkers to Improve HSCT By Regenerating Immune Tolerance and Preventing Chronic Graft-versus-Host Disease" during the 2026 Annaul Conference during Symposium 7 on Saturday, May 2 at 8:45am.</p>]]></description>

He is a Member of the Immunology Program and the Department of Medicine.<br /><br />Dr. Sadelain’s research focuses on human cell engineering and cell therapy to treat cancer and hereditary blood disorders. His laboratory has made several seminal contributions to the field of chimeric antigen receptors (CARs), from their
